08 September 2023 – Cotabato City. In line with the office relocation of the Philippine Statistics Authority – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA BARMM) from Carumba Building, Jupiter St., Rosary Heights 9, Cotabato City to the Mega Supreme Holding Corporation Building at the intersection of Notre Dame Avenue and Doña Theresa St., Poblacion 4, Cotabato City, PSA BARMM is set to inaugurate its brand new 3-story Office Building on 09 September 2023, at the ground floor of the PSA BARMM premises in Cotabato City.
PSA has a composition of four (4) major retrained agencies by virtue of Republic Act (RA) No.10625, otherwise known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, namely: The National Statistics Office (NSO), the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS), the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), and the Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics (BLES) has been continuously evolving and expanding with new centralized projects such as the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) and the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) by virtue of R.A. 11055 and R.A. 11315, respectively. Therefore, PSA shall be primarily responsible for the implementation of the objectives and provisions of R.A. 10625, R.A. 11055, and R.A. 11315, simultaneously.
Considering the expanded mandates and functions of PSA, the workforce has grown significantly, necessitating a larger and more accommodating office space. Thus, the need for an expansive office equipped with ample amenities arises, aiming to provide enhanced services to the general public within a secure environment while fostering a conducive working atmosphere for employees, ultimately enhancing service delivery and client satisfaction.
A soft launch of the office facilities was initially conducted simultaneously with the launching of the CRS ITP2 on 29 August 2023. However, the office inauguration will offer a comprehensive overview of the office facilities to showcase significant features of each division. Consequently, to commemorate this significant milestone, dignitaries from the Central Office are expected to attend, along with key officials from the BARMM regional government.
Finally, PSA BARMM extends a warm invitation to the public to join us online as we livestream
