The Philippine Statistics Authority  Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA BARMM) participated in the Kickoff Ceremony for the 2024 Shariff Kabunsuan Festival, which took place on 02 December 2024 at the Peoples Palace in Cotabato City.

During the program, Engr. Akan G. Tula, OIC-Regional Director of PSA BARMM, delivered a message highlighting the PSA’s participation in the festival. He announced that PSA BARMM would offer several services, including the Civil Registry System Mobile Outlet, PhilSys Registration, and the Birth Registration Assistance Project.

The Shariff Kabunsuan Festival is an annual cultural and religious celebration in Cotabato City, honoring Shariff Kabunsuan, the Muslim missionary who introduced Islam to the region in the 15th century. Held every December, the festival blends Islamic customs with local traditions. The event features street dancing, parades, and religious activities, showcasing the city’s rich Muslim heritage and cultural diversity.

The festival aims to promote peace, unity, and understanding among the people of Cotabato, while celebrating the city's historical significance and attracting tourism.
