The 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Provincial Elimination-Tawi-Tawi with the theme "𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐀 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧" was held at Pic-A-Pie Restaurant, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi in celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) last October 28, 2024. The Philippine Statistics Authority–Tawi-Tawi recently held to further promote statistical knowledge and creativity of the youth in the province. 

The event began with a motivational speech that emphasized the importance of statistics in modern society, and it was graced by the esteemed Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA RSSO BARMM Tawi-Tawi, Masil H. Mohammadsha, MPA. He also commended the sterling and unwavering support of the participants and coaches who joined the competition. The event capped off with an awarding ceremony to highlight the best performances among the participants. 

Ms. Sharifa Naiza Ladjabassal from Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi reigned as the champion in the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Provincial Elimination by exhibiting phenomenal skills and understanding of the concepts of statistics. Following closely behind her was Ms.Rayhana Hayudini, 1st runner-up from Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi  and Ms. Nadine Asani, 2nd runner-up also from Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi. Thus, from the nine gladiators of topnotch skills, these three have sampled the privilege of representing the province of Tawi-Tawi for the Philippine Statistics Quiz Regional Elimination on Nov. 8, 2024 in Cotabato City.

The annual Philippine Statistics Quiz served as another reminder of the importance of precise data collecting and in-depth analysis in modern society. The competition showcased the participants’ extraordinary abilities, encouraging others to delve deeper into the realm of statistics and leaving a lasting impact on the community. The winners received tokens, certificates, and cash rewards in line with the PSA’s aim to promote statistical education and develop the skills of the next generation of statistics whizzes.
