18 February 2025, Cotabato City – The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA RSSO BARMM), headed by OIC Regional Director Engr. Akan G. Tula conducted a free issuance of Security Paper (SECPA) copies from 18 to 28 February 2025 at PSA Cotabato Outlet in line with the celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM). This initiative aimed to promote the importance of civil registration and provide assistance to various sectors of the community.

A total of 50 SECPA copies were distributed, including 10 copies each for women, children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and those needing the documents for hospitalization purposes. Statistical Specialist II Melanie S. Mohammad facilitated and monitored the distribution of SECPA to ensure an orderly and efficient process.

The free issuance of SECPA underscores PSA’s commitment to ensuring that every individual has access to their essential civil registry documents, which play a crucial role in legal transactions, social services, and personal identification. This effort is part of PSA's advocacy to strengthen civil registration services and enhance public awareness of its significance.

The activity was well received by the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for PSA RSSO BARMM's support. Many of them highlighted the importance of having their documents readily available, especially for legal, educational, medical, and social service requirements.

This initiative aligns with the PSA's mission to deliver quality, accessible, and inclusive civil registration services, reaffirming its role as a key institution in documenting vital events. The success of this activity reflects PSA's continued dedication to public service and the celebration of Civil Registration Month as a means to foster inclusivity and social equity.
