10 May 2023—COTABATO CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA BARMM) is currently conducting the May 2023 round of Labor Force Survey (LFS) in its provinces and component cities.

A total of 688 households were selected as samples in the BARMM Region. The hired Statistical Researchers will be using Computer Aided Data Collection System (CADaCS) during data collection which started last 08 May 2023. The enumeration is expected to be completed by 27 May 2023.

The LFS is a household-based survey that is monthly conducted across the country to gather information on the socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of the sampled areas. It aims to provide high-frequency statistical data on the Philippine labor market in order to better track and comprehend the country's economy and job market, as well as the effects of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis. The result serves as the framework for policy development, program implementation, and planning aimed at enhancing Filipinos' chances for gainful employment and livelihood.

Further, the PSA BARMM ensures that all personnel involved in the conduct of the survey strictly adhere to the Field Operation Guidelines and health protocol. The Office guarantees that all information acquired from the survey respondents would be handled with the utmost confidentiality in accordance with Section 26 of RA 10625.
