The Rice and Corn Stocks Survey: Household and Commercial is a monthly survey that assesses the current rice and corn stock inventories in farming and non-farming households and commercial establishments nationwide. The Crops Statistics Division (CSD) of the Economic Sector Statistics Service (ESSS) implemented the enhanced RCSS: H&C in January 2023. The survey covers all provinces of the country, including the National Capital Region.

This survey aims to generate rice and corn stock inventories for the household and commercial sectors at the national and subnational levels and assess the stock levels compared with the same period in the previous year and the previous month.

OIC RD Tula emphasized the importance of the data from the various cereals’ surveys, in particular the data on supply and stocks of the grains, as these are our planners whether there is enough supply in the market or is a need to import from other countries and by how much.
