
The Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC) - Tawi-Tawi Provincial Office (TTPO) collaborated with Philippine Statistics Authority Tawi-Tawi Birth Registration Assistance Project Team and Municipal Civil Registrar of Bongao to execute of the Legal Assistance Program through birth registration to the beneficiaries of Vendex Learning Center, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi including the other constituents of Brgy. Tongsinah, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on February 26, 2025 wherein some of those were grade school pupils in need of their Certificates of Live Birth before the start of the school year 2025-2026.
Through the PSA’s Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) residents have been given the opportunity to have their Birth Certificates processed, also the BRAP program is intended register Filipinos who are not able to register their birth certificate where, they can be used as a supporting document for the registration of PhilSys-National Identification System. Under Birth Registration Assistance Project, verification of birth record at Philippine Statistic Authority is free of charge.
PSA Tawi-Tawi Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) team were able to provide immeasurable support to the attendees. 240 individuals were successfully registered to be processed for manual verification under Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).
