The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA-RSSO-BARMM) actively engaged in the 4th Bangsamoro International Development Partners (BIDP) Forum held at Dusit Thani, Davao City.
This landmark event, themed “Forging a Resilient and Prosperous Bangsamoro Region: Harnessing Collaborative Partnerships for Sustainable Peace and Development,” convened key stakeholders to discuss strategies for sustainable development and collaborative efforts to achieve lasting peace and progress in the region.
During the afternoon session, Engr. Akan G. Tula, OIC Regional Director of PSA-RSSO-BARMM, took part in Session 3: Sustaining the Progress in Poverty Reduction and Economic Growth in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. He delivered a presentation titled “Trend in Poverty Incidence in BARMM,” offering data-driven insights into the region’s poverty situation.
Engr. Tula’s presentation highlighted significant statistical trends from recent years, emphasizing both the challenges and opportunities in combating poverty and fostering inclusive economic growth in BARMM. His contribution underscored PSA-BARMM’s commitment to providing reliable data to inform policy-making and drive development initiatives in the region.
