The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RSSO BARMM), under the leadership of OIC–Regional Director Engr. Akan G. Tula, successfully conducted a two-day CRS Mobile Outlet operation in the municipality of Lantawan. This initiative underscored the PSA’s dedication to bringing essential civil registration services closer to the people of Basilan.
The operation received remarkable support from the Municipal Mayor of Lantawan, Hon. Nasser Abubakar, who actively contributed to its success. Mayor Abubakar made regular visits to the operation site, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the PSA team’s efforts. He also prioritized the safety and comfort of the team, ensuring that all logistical requirements were met—a testament to his commitment to serving his constituents.
During the two-day event, the CRS Mobile Outlet served over 200 constituents, completing a total of 421 transactions. This impressive turnout highlighted the substantial demand for accessible government services in Lantawan. Residents expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to secure vital documents, such as SECPA (Security Paper), without the need to travel to other provinces like Zamboanga City.
The operation exemplified PSA RSSO BARMM’s commitment to addressing the specific needs of Bangsamoro communities, particularly in remote and underserved areas. Engr. Tula reiterated the agency’s determination to continue similar initiatives across the region, ensuring equitable access to civil registration services for all.
Building on the success of this operation, PSA RSSO BARMM plans to expand its outreach to other municipalities in Basilan and beyond. This aligns with its mission to provide efficient and inclusive services to all Bangsamoro constituents.
