PSA BARMM Joins the Kapagungaya Capacity Training

The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA-RSSO-BARMM) PSA BARMM OIC Regional Director, Engr. Akan G. Tula, actively participated in the Kapagungaya: Capacity Development for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and Barangay Health Workers (BHW) on addressing statelessness, held at Safe Haven, Cotabato City, on Sunday, 24 November 2024.

As part of the event, Engr. Tula delivered an insightful presentation on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) in BARMM, highlighting its importance in addressing statelessness and promoting inclusivity.

A key moment of the training was the Oath of Responsibility taken by participants as members of the Magungaya Task Force, where Engr. Tula facilitated the ceremony. Through their oath, participants pledged to work hand-in-hand with the Philippine Statistics Authority, Local Civil Registrars, and the community to break barriers to birth registration for underserved and vulnerable families, ensuring their rights and identities are recognized.

This event underscores PSA BARMM's commitment to collaboration and grassroots empowerment for a more inclusive Bangsamoro.
