In celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Sulu (PSA-Sulu) conducted a community outreach program featuring a feeding activity and PhilSys Registration at Palan Elementary School, Barangay Adjid, Indanan, Sulu. This initiative aimed to raise awareness of the importance of civil registration while extending essential services to the local community.

The event commenced with an inspiring message from Chief Statistical Specialist Engr. Medzhor A. Tan, MP, DPA, who underscored the vital role of civil registration in safeguarding individuals' legal identity. He emphasized that proper documentation through birth registration and national identification ensures access to government programs, social benefits, and other essential services.

As part of the celebration, the PhilSys Registration Team facilitated on-site national ID registration, providing residents with the opportunity to secure their PhilSys IDs conveniently. This effort aligns with the government’s goal of fostering a more inclusive and efficient identification system, particularly for underserved communities.

To further promote community engagement, food packs were distributed to beneficiaries, ensuring that participants not only received essential services but also felt the warmth of PSA-Sulu’s commitment to public service. The feeding activity highlighted the agency’s dedication to improving the well-being of local residents while advocating for the significance of civil registration.

Through this initiative, PSA-Sulu continues to uphold its mission of enhancing public awareness and accessibility to civil registration services, reinforcing the importance of every individual’s right to a legal identity.
