Omar, Sulu – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the PhilSys mobile registration team conducted the National ID Registration in the Municipality of Omar, Sulu, specifically prioritizing senior citizens who are beneficiaries or applicants of the Social Pension (SocPen) Program, on July 17, 2025.

This initiative aimed to facilitate faster and more efficient processing of government assistance to senior citizens by providing them with their PhilSys National ID, which serves as a valid proof of identity for accessing social protection services.

The PhilSys National ID not only simplifies access to MSSD SocPen benefits but also enhances identity verification for other government and private sector services.
