On February 24, 2025, Chief Statistical Specialist Engr. Medzhor A. Tan, accompanied by Statistical Analyst Al-khadaff H. Julham and Acting Provincial Planning and Development Officer Engr. Benhal Akalal, visited Sulu Governor Abdusakur M. Tan at the Sulu Provincial Capitol.

Engr. Tan discussed details about upcoming initiatives and emphasized the need for strong collaboration between local government units (LGUs) and various government agencies in Sulu. A significant point of discussion was the proposal for creating the Philippine Statistics Committee, as well as plans to set up a Civil Registration System (CRS) Outlet. Additionally, there were updates on the ongoing Population Census in the province, highlighting how crucial accurate data collection is for making informed decisions.

Governor Abdusakur M. Tan reaffirmed his strong backing for these initiatives, recognizing their critical role and significance in the overall development strategy for Sulu. He emphasized the necessity of these collaborative efforts in driving sustainable growth and enhancing the quality of life for the residents of the province.
