Jolo, Sulu, February 25, 2025 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Sulu, led by PhilSys Registration Kit Operator Mr. Melson D. Madjilon, successfully conducted a three-day National ID Step 2 Registration for unregistered children aged five and below, along with their parents or guardians who were already registered in the National ID system.

From February 17 to 19, 2025, the registration took place at the Sulu Provincial Daycare Center in Barangay Walled City, Jolo, Sulu. The initiative provided children under the age of five with a secure National ID, linking their identity to that of their parent or guardian. This process ensures that these young children will have easier access to essential services such as education, scholarships, and social protection programs, which are critical for their development and future opportunities.

The PSA-Sulu continues to prioritize making National ID registration accessible to all residents, reinforcing its commitment to providing a valid and reliable proof of identity to every individual in the province. The ongoing efforts of PSA-Sulu aim to further promote inclusivity and streamline access to government services, ensuring that every citizen has the means to secure a bright future.

This press release highlights the success of the registration event and PSA-Sulu’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the accessibility and usefulness of the National ID system for all Sulu residents.
