The Ministry of Social Services Development (MSSD) Tawi-Tawi and the Philippine Statistics Authority PhilSys Tawi-Tawi collaborated to provide the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) services to Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries during their Family Development Session (FDS). As part of the ongoing collaboration between the PSA and MSSD in using PhilSys for social protection initiatives, PhilSys services are available at FDS.
PhilSys Tawi-Tawi are currently conducting a national ID registration (Biometric Capturing) and authentication for unregistered 4Ps beneficiaries. Furthermore, assistance is provided for the retrieval of Transaction Reference Numbers (TRN) for those already registered but who have misplaced their transaction slip and ePhilID is being issued for individuals registered but who haven't received their National ID cards yet. The team will conduct the said activity throughout the province of Tawi-Tawi until the end of March to which the beneficiaries are required to participate as part of their monthly FDS.
By increasing the number of 4Ps beneficiaries present at the FDS, this national program enables PSA to offer PhilSys registration and ePhilID issuance. Filipinos, particularly those from vulnerable groups, can seek to be beneficiaries of social protection programs using these credentials. This program emphasizes how crucial it is to obtain identity for every member of the 4Ps household, especially for children aged 0 to 5, as a preventative step to enhance their future access to vital government programs. To fulfill the FDS compliance, the head of the 4Ps household should register in Philsys and all members of the household, including children 0-5, should also be registered.
