PSA BARMM Tawi-Tawi Welcomes the Participants for Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Training and Workshop

Philippine Statistics Authority BARMM Tawi-Tawi welcomes the Information Technology Officer from the National Privacy Commission Cleo Martinez, the municipal civil registrars representatives from different municipalities of Maguindanao and Cotabato City together with the PSA RSSO BARMM OIC-CRASD Chief Noronisa Macadadaya and PSA Chief Statistical Specialist of Maguindanao Naldo Pendaliday.

The National Privacy Commission in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority and the Organization of Municipal Civil Registrars of Maguindanao and Cotabato City visited the Province of Tawi-Tawi to conduct the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Training & Workshop held at Beachside Inn Hotel and Restaurant, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, BARMM, on February 11-13,2025.

The Information Technology Officer Cleo Martinez from the National Privacy Commission led the workshop and provided valuable privacy and data protection insights. His advice highlighted the importance of data privacy in organizational operations and improved comprehension of privacy effect evaluation.

Participants leared how to recognize, evaluate, and reduce privacy risks in their particular fields of work through the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA). The discussion included insightful information about safeguarding private information and making sure the Data Privacy Act is followed.
