18 September 2024 – Jolo, Sulu. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RSSO BARMM), led by OIC-Regional Director Engr. Akan G. Tula, continued its public service efforts on the final day of the 634th Bangsa Sug Day celebration at the Bangsa Sug Ground. The event highlighted PSA's dedication to bringing essential services closer to the people of the region.
On the second day in Jolo, the PSA recorded 134 transactions, the highest number since the service began. This demonstrates the growing need for PSA services and underscores the agency's commitment to reaching the community. The high turnout also suggests the potential to extend these programs to other areas, allowing more people to benefit.
People from all backgrounds eagerly lined up to access the services, with some residents arriving as early as 5:30 in the morning, underscoring the importance of these services to them.
The success of this event reflects PSA RSSO BARMM’s commitment to ensuring that essential services reach even the most remote communities.
Encouraged by the strong response from the people of Jolo, PSA is motivated to continue expanding its public service mission, broadening its reach, and making services more accessible to everyone.
