27 February 2023 – BARMM. The Philippine Statistics Authority PhilSys Registry Office and its Regional Statistical Service Office in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao conducted a series of Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign Regional Roadshow in the provinces of Basilan, Maguindanao, and Sulu from 20 to 24 February 2023 with a total of 770 participants from the private, financial, and government sector attended. The officials from the Use Case Development and Management Service (UCDMS), Fraud Management and Client Management Service (FMCMS), and Policy Coordination and Monitoring Service (PCMS) were the resource persons of the said campaign.

On 20 February 2023, the IEC campaign in Maguindanao was held at the Cotabato State University Gymnasium in Cotabato City with 283 participants. Likewise, the campaign in Sulu was held on 22 February 2023 at Sumadja Hall, Provincial Capitol, Patikul, Sulu, with 218 participants. Finally, the series of campaigns concluded in the province of Basilan held at the Kasinnahan Hotel Convention Center, Isabela City, Basilan on 24 February 2023 with 269 participants. Each PSA Provincial Office organized a motorcade prior to the campaign proper.

This campaign intends to inform financial, private, and national government agencies (NGAs) about their compliance with Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 95, Executive Order (EO) No. 162, Section 2022. Also, the effort intends to encourage the use of PhilID and ePhilID as sufficient and legitimate forms of identification when utilizing public and private services. ###
