20 February 2024. Cotabato City. The Regional Statistics Committee (RSCOM) convened its First Regular Meeting on 14 February 2024 at BPDA Conference Hall, BPDA, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.

The said meeting was presided by Engr. Akan G. Tula, OIC-Regional Director of PSA-BARMM and Co-Chairperson of RSCom. He stressed the role of the committee on evidence-based planning, decision-making and and policy-making. He encouraged active participation during meetings and named RSCom focal person as “Ambassador of Statistics” of their principals.

“The actual data that planners utilize in crafting eveidence-based plans for accomplishing the goal of establishing sustainable and inclusive developmentin BARMM. RScom also directs the activities towards the ground as bases for the Economic development of the Region” he empasized.

1. Readingof the Minutes of Pevious Meeting
2. Data Support from STakeholders for the Improvement of the GRDP and PPA estimation in BARMM
3. Enhancement of the Business Permit and Licensing Report among BARMM LGUs
4. Poverty Statistics for 1st semester of 2023
5. Briefer on the Development Policy Research Month
6. Presentation of BICTO mandates
7. Updates on the 2024 CBMS Roll-Out

It was well attended by representatives of partners and member agencies, to wit: BARMM-READI, BCPCH, BTA-PRLS, BIO, BSP Cotabato, MOLE, MTIT, MILG, MOTC, MSSD, MENRE, MBHTE, MPW, MFBM-BTO, MOH, OCM-TMS, TMI, OOBC, guest BICTO, PSA and BPDA as technical secretariat.
