PhilSys Registration Success at Maguindanao del Norte’s 2nd Founding Anniversary

12 September 2024 – Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao del Norte. In celebration of the 2nd founding anniversary of the Province of Maguindanao del Norte, the Office of the Member of Parliament Jamel B. Macacua organized a milestone event at the Sultan Mastura Gymnasium, inviting various government agencies and stakeholders to mark the occasion. Among those in attendance was the Philippine Statistics Authority - Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA BARMM).

This collaboration between the Office of MP Jamel B. Macacua and PSA BARMM aimed to expand access to national identification services, particularly for children aged 1-4 years and citizens who had not yet registered with PhilSys. Residents of Sultan Mastura and nearby municipalities eagerly participated in the registration drive, underscoring the community's commitment to inclusivity and national development.

"Having PSA BARMM here to offer PhilSys registration during our province’s anniversary is a meaningful service to the people of Maguindanao del Norte," said MP Jamel B. Macacua. "We are united with the government’s goal of ensuring that every Filipino has a national ID, which not only serves as proof of identity but also opens doors to better access to government services."

PSA BARMM continues to work closely with local government units and other partners to expand PhilSys registration, ensuring that all Filipinos, including children aged 1-4 years, are included in the national ID system, providing a unique and secure proof of identity. Through PhilSys, the government seeks to improve access to public services and simplify transactions in both public and private sectors.
